I bought this iPod on eBay. Got it today…charged it…hooked it up to my Dell-6000 with iTunes 6. installed & tried to sync my iPod…which it did. Then i took it off the cable & tried to turn it on & play my tune. It wouldn’t turn on. Tried the 3 R’s Nothing…Did the last R for two hours & Nothing…
It could simply be the battery is below the charging threshold. If you feel confident you can dismantle it and have a multimeter, dismantle it and test the battery. if the battery tests as less than 3.7V then follow the instructions here: Think I’ve been sold a dead iPhone 3G… - Logic Boards?
