so my iphone 5s’s bottom microphone is not working, so i replaced the the whole charging port turns out, there is nothing wrong with neither old or new charging port’s microphone, so what gives? voice memo and people not being able to hear me on call, the rest of the other microphone is working (eg: the back and front camera’s mic)
That leaves us with the J7 dock connector where you have the pins connecting microphone to the logic board, and from there on the a few components and the Audio IC. It’s not a DIY job, even if you’d find pins out of place that would require the connector replacement.
