Chosen Solution
I got this xbox one s from my friend in this state. It powers on into the startup error menu with E203 . I then proceed to offline update it and it gives me E101 immediately after starting. I haven’t seen any solutions to this anywhere else so I thought I should ask it here.
It turns out the hard drive was bad. I replaced it, performed the usb update, and it worked. Thanks for the help!
Hi, There are a few things you could try resetting the Xbox to factory defaultsdownloading the update on a USB and installing offline https://support.xbox.com/en-GB/help/hard...Replace the hard drive If I were you, I would try in that order and hopefully 1 should get you to the bottom of it
