The phone was working fine before I left the US to travel to Philippines so i boxed it back up and brought it here as a gift. When we tried to turn it on here it will not even turn on. We had the battery checked and it is good with charge and everything. Any ideas what could be wrong with it? Thanks Mark

I had this happen once with a blu 5.3. And it was because i had it charging on a laptop then because i didn’t disconnect it properly the phone turned off and would turn on. I fixed it by letting restarting the computer and letting it sit there eventually about 10 mins later it powered on and i disconnected it properly. The thing i would try is hooking it up to a different charger altogether. See if any lights come on or anything. After about 5mins push and hold the power button. Again wait for lights sound etc. If nothing try a reset. You hold down power+volume up+home OR power+volume up+volume down. Let me know if anything happens.
I bought the Blue phone from Microsoft Canada store and stopped working after a month. Now the Blue company in Florida wants me to pay for shipping both ways to fix it which is still under 1 year warranty which Microsoft does not honor. Microsoft wouldn’t even allow me to post a negative review of the blue product on their site for review of this phone. No wonder people think this crappy phone is good as there are no negative reviews on the Microsoft store. This is by far my worst purchase experience in a new phone ever. Lesson learned never purchase a cheap phone from an unknown brand who don’t care about customers.
You have to start your phone in recovery mode, and then factory data reset the phone and you will be good to go,just remember that you will loose everything on the phone like photos and media files.to enter recovery on blu phones you have to press volume up and power button at the same time
I have Blu Studio 5.5 that wont turn on. My fix is this: Hold the power button down for several minutes. It will eventually turn on. Then search Playstore for an on/off app. It works by detecting light in the camera. Put it in your pocket or upside down on a table phone goes dark. Take it out it goes on. Works for me.
ok blu phones…best thing to do with them is….put them on the floor and jump up and down on them….blu phones r rubbish biult in battery bullshit……..never again will i buy a blu phone waste of a $100………………..blu crap.thank you :)
Hey guys My SIS gave me her BLU 5.0, she said if i can fix it i can keep it so what i did was examine the phone carefully i noticed that on the battery it said built in battery she told me that so i looked at it carefully nothing happened i looked over the back and found this gold button i took a sharp pencil and pressed it then i powered it on and it worked it said BLU bold like us and stuff like that. I hope this answer helped you very much.
Yesterday I got my blu advance 5.0 that I ordered from amazon it has been charging the entire night and yet still the empty charging sign continously flashes on the screen showing that it’s empty however charging . How long does a new blu advance 5.0 takes to charge? Is something wrong with this phone?

plug it up to a charger and it should work if not try reseting it u hold the power button and both volume buttons
The phone needs to be flashed. However, the problem will continue. I have been having the same problem with my Blu Studio 5.5c D690U. I flashed the phone but exactly one week later, it stops working again. Stuck in start loop. What I was told by a Blu Store worker, is that there are a few Studios with Manufacturers’ default. So, there is nothing you can do really, except buy a new phone or change the system software or board. Good luck!
try taking out the battery then turn back on the phone and make sure your under signal and try to un lock it
I had this problem as well at first it was working and then i plugged it in and went to bed… in the morning it wouldnt charge or do anything i fixed it by holding the power button and the volume button right in the middle after a few seconds your screen will turn grey just keep hilding the buttons until your screen goes black again… after that just plug it into an outlit and it should start charging

Take out the battery, then take out the Micro-Card. Then put back in and restart. Hopefully that will work. Once I did have to do a reset to Factory, and reinstall everything. I have had the phone for 8 months, I think. And this happened 2x. It doesn’t really like, fast and confused access to apps. Also, it really doesn’t do well traveling with the WI-FI on. The combination of searching for a Wi-fi to connect with, and the phone trying to keep signal, doesn’t work. So make sure if you are traveling turn off the wi-fi, because it will lock up like you are experiencing.
I have the blu Vivo 5R, it wouldn’t turn on, so This what worked for me I held down the power and volum button down at the same time it powered on I strolled down at at reboot and there it went back to normal Thanks guys
I have a Studio 5.0C HD and nothing…I repeat nothing has turned the phone on. I have tried everything on youtube, this forum, and many others and nothing will turn this phone on. Battery is “full”…PC won’t load preloader drivers because stuck in bootloop. Now , what to do???
Check the charger if it’s working or not. This can be divided into two types - Software failurePhysical failure Software failure might happen when you have installed glitchy software the device might fail to turn on. Simply go to recovery mode by pressing the Volume UP + Power button together and delete or factory reset from options available. Physical button failure also leads to a device not turning on. In such case there is really a little you can do. If it still doesn’t work then there is nothing you can do really, except buy a new phone.
