Chosen Solution
Hi everyone, I recently replaced my motherboard on my asus X550Za and replaced the CMOS battery. I had previously made a post that the screen didn’t even turn on before so I’m glad at least that’s not an issue anymore. When I power on the laptop, the screen turns on, but no logo is displayed at all. I tried to access the BIOS on this blank black screen but nothing happens. I tried F2 as the manufacturer’s manual says for this computer, but nothing comes up. Is there a way to hard reset the BIOS or do something to access some menu? P.S. I replaced my old hard drive with a blank one that had more memory storage. Not sure if it matters that I don’t currently have my original hard drive in the computer right now. Thanks in advance!!!
To save us all time try the appropiate ones from the steps below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GqqR_dS… then let us know what happens after each step. Always look for the simplest solution first such as improperly socketed RAM or incorrectly inserted ribbon cables.
