Chosen Solution
Hello, A few seconds after I wakeup my mac the screen turns to black followed by a glitchy screen (random colors). This happens once or twice, nearly every time. I previously had the issue that the mac went to sleep randomly after the wakeup. It has been a few days since I had that issue. The problems are probably related. Any ideas? Thanks, Dennis
Sounds like a SMC related issue. The only thing I could recommend is to try reset the SMC keeping pressed together the keys Shift+Ctrl+Alt+Power button when the Mac is off and charging battery with amber light at magsafe. You should see the light turning green for a while indicating Smc is being reset. If that doesn’t work it’s probably a logic board issue that would require somebody specialized in component level repairs.
