So I’ve recently changed my home button on my iPhone 5 but before I revived the parts I took it apart. Worked perfectly before hand. Once I revived the part I changed it and the screen is completely black no response to charging ( no charging symbol) seems not to turn on. I’ve tried all the nethods like holding the home and power button, another home and power button method, charge for 1 hour, still no response from the phone.
You could have damaged the backlight, either on the screen itself or the drive circuit on the logic board. Connect your device to an iTunes enabled computer and shine a bright light on the screen. If you see a dim image, then you have a backlight issue. If iTunes doesn’t recognize your phone, then you may have an issue with the logic board.
