I bought a second hand macbook, still under warranty, apparently the last owner spilled some liquid on the equipment, causing a problem with the screen. Apple only accepts to do the repair if they change all the parts (Logic board, connector, screen), for me it’s not feasible. I can use the macbook with an external monitor without noticing problems, IO, camera, microphone, charging, keyboard, touch ID, everything works except the monitor. Is it a good idea to buy the screen and repair only this part myself or is there a high chance the problem is in the logic board? Image on monitor (looks like an x-ray)

My images:No damage to monitor connectors.

A cable deformity.

After you reconnect everything, start it up and using a flashlight resting on the display at a sharp angle do you see a faint image of your desktop and icons? If you do then the displays backlight circuit needs repairs, otherwise you will need a new display assembly. If your system has a warranty, I would let them fix it.

I have the same problem, but if I close the screen and back is works for seconds till it glitches back to this blurry black. Do you know what was the problem?
