Basically, I repaired a iPhone 6 with a broken screen and after putting it all back together, I tried turning it on and no luck. I then left it charging for 10 minutes and it finally vibrated and made the charging sound, but the screen was still black. Every five seconds or so it will make the charging chime sound. I tried every trick in the book such as redoing the screen replacement process, disconnecting and reconnecting the battery etc. Could someone please help me fix this THanks

Firstly a good practice is to always disconnect the battery before doing any type of repair on the phone, it can help prevent unwanted issues during a repair. As for your problem, make sure that all the screen connections are secure and proper, they should all sit flat against the logic board when connected, sometimes, especially the wider one towards the back, has the tendency to get off and not connect all the way. Be sure to make sure there is no damage on the display or the connectors. Plug the phone into a computer and open up iTunes, if it recognizes the device then you know that the phone works and the screen is what is having the issues. If you have verified that the connections are all good then you may want to try another screen to see if that helps. (If your old screen was simply cracked or something but still mostly worked you can reconnect that to test it as well. If your old screen used to work but now doesn’t there’s a good chance that your logic board was damaged somehow during the repair) For your second issue with the charging, a quick thing to check it to look at the lightning connector when the phone is plugged in. Make sure that the metal part of the connector goes all the way into the phone, and the white plastic part goes right up to be flush with the phone. If it’s sticking out a little then very carefully clean out the connector as there is most likely lint or other things in the connector dock that’s keeping the lightning cable from making a solid connection with the pins.

I HAVE SOLVED THIS ISSUE. I had the same issue with beeping when charger and a black screen. I replaced an old broken screen with a new screen on my Iphone 6. When I first replaced the screen the LCD was black and while charging the phone kept beeping every few seconds, I thought it was a faulty new screen or connectors damaged but it wasn’t . I pulled out the charger cord, lifted up the screen again then unhooked the battery flex cable. I then plugged the charger back into phone with battery disconnected. The screen light came on with the Apple logo. I then disconnected the charger cable, reattached the battery flex cable then put the phone screen back down and screwed it up. I then plugged in the charger again and the phone started up. Screen and all the functions were working perfectly again. It must have reset he phone somehow. HOPE THIS HELPS OTHER MEMBERS HERE

Does your iphone show up on Itunes? If so, your phone is likely fine. It is almost definitely that your LCD is bad. Personally, and I’ll probably get flamed for this, but when doing a screen repair I never disconnect the battery. I did it once and, lo and behold, upon reconnecting the battery I fried my LCD, and had the exact same issue it sounds like you all are having. What I’d do? Bring your screen-less phone to a repair shop, ask them very nicely to attach a new LCD to it, and see what happens. I’d put money on your phone booting right up. Then, while it’s not cheap, you spend ~$80 on getting a new LCD (bummer, but not $300 bummer) and connect a few flex cables and Bob is then indeed your uncle. Also, why your phone’s beeping when plugged in? It’s trying to say “BRO, I wanna show you something, connect an LCD.” One UNLIKELY scenario is that you’re not super conscienscious and you messed up some of your screws on the plate that goes over all the connectors. Don’t do that. Then you’re ****ed. Peace Love and Dude-bro-man-bear-pig

I had the same symtoms on an iphone 6s and 5s after changing screen. Black screen and beeping. The iphone 5s got working after resetting it from itunes. I did it 3 times and then I could turn it on. I has worked since (2 weeks). Pictures and things were still there. The 6s was restored too but the screen is still black. Itunes recognizes it and shows battery charge and memory used. I don´t know what to do with it… And repair is so expensive.

it may be the backlight chip on your mother board is damaged while you fixing it. sometimes it does make sound like beeping while you charging your phone but no screen show. but that kind of problems, it can be fixed when you reconnect your battery. seems like you have no luck, there is high chance you had damaged the backlight chip in the mother board . And! yes it can be fixed.

I have the same problem with my iPad mini it has a black screen I’ve hard reset it you name it but it never shows anything on the display but when I plug the charger up it makes the chime so i dont know what To do
