Hi there! I dropped my phone this morning and now it has a black screen. When I power the phone on it it vibrates. When it’s fully powered I can here messages, notification, etc. The touchscreen does not work as I tested it by installing vyser(an app used to control phone from pc and this app displays phone screen). Also when powering on phone or turn phone on after boot, I see lines displaying for a second or 2. I tried: Taking the battery out and holding the power button for 120secs.I tried booting to recovery. I am aware similar questions have been asked, but none helped or fit the issue. Thanks. b
Hi, The LCD screen may have been damaged by the fall. They cannot be repaired, they have to be replaced. As a DIY repair all you can do is open the phone and check that the display flex cable is still connected properly and if so temporarily replace the LCD screen and check if it works OK to check if the problem was the LCD display or perhaps on the systemboard. Here’s video that shows how to replace the screen in your phone. Replacement screens are available online. Just search for Samsung Galaxy J2 LCD screen to get results for suppliers.
