2 thick black lines have appeared down my tv. Almost like the brightness has been turned down in these areas. The TV is a 49” HDR TV. https://www.samsung.com/uk/tvs/uhd-ku640… Does anyone know what could cause this?
Andrew Rice … this looks like potential backlight failure. your image is coming in fine and not distorted in any fashion. just dark. it may be a possibility with the dimming feature installed that may have become stuck due to a sensor, but it doesnt present itself this way. you could try anyway by turning off any auto dimming feature in your settings and cycle the set off and back on. if its due to the software feature, this will resolve the darkness caused by a failed sensor. if not, time to look at those backlights.
