The bezel on my wife’s 2007 15-inch Core2Duo MacBook Pro has a crack just above the base on the right side. The display jumps a little. It doesn’t flicker. I need some informed speculation before I try to replace anything. The jumpy display suggests some electronics or wiring is bad, but not necessarily that the display itself is bad. If I tackle this, what parts would probably see me through? Bezel. Wiring? Display?
That models display frame usually breaks on the left side about an inch up from the bottom left hand corner as you are looking at the machine. @mactech has repaired a few of these and is better qualified than I to give you a comprehensive answer.
