Greetings: I have read numerous complaints regarding broken/cracked touch screen glass (HP Spectre). Having purchased my new Spectre from B. Buy just four days ago, I opted not to buy into the “no questions asked” protection plan. Now I am concerned. Is the protection plan truly comprehensive? Could the aforementioned complaints have been avoided had these folks bought protection (B. Buy customers) Thanks. Rich B.

Here are the terms and conditions of the Geek Squad Protection Plan: http://storage.bestbuy.com/geeksquad/ter… The GSP-ADH plan appears to be comprehensive, and a broken/cracked screen seems to be covered under “Accidental Damage from Handling” Section 5.2. Take a look at Section 6 for what is not covered. Also, I don’t see where “no questions are asked”. In fact, Paragraph 2 of Section 5.2 says they may ask you to explain how the damage occurred, and they may deny the claim if you fail to provide this explanation.
