Hi everyone!! I own a mbp mid 2012, it’s been a few days that the battery status says “Service Battery” , i checked with coconut battery and I’ve discovered that after only 340 cycles the design capacity is 70%!! How is this possible? Could be just a software issue? Thank you in advance for your help.
The Battery May Just Be Defective You Never Really Know With Batteries Some Times. I Have Seen Batteries Go Bad After A Week Of Being New.
@yalkima , Yousssef, You could try contacting Apple to see if there is anything they would be willing to do because of low cycle count/charge. If no other recourse, see links below for guide on replacing battery and replacement battery available through the iFixit store. Good luck.
