Chosen Solution
While disconnecting the old battery the the copper for the neg battery ribbon connection was rip off, there is a place I can get that connection solder too? This is a temporary fix, as all i need it to get it to power on in order to take data off.
Depending on the condition of the flex on the battery, you could try to scrape it a bit to expose some copper. The flex is very thin and difficult to work with though. The other option is to follow it back to the gas gauge circuitry on the battery and run a jumper wire from there. Won’t be pretty but should allow you to get your data.
