I need a new battery for my MBP Retina mid-2012. I can’t find the part on iFixit. They have early- and late- 2012, but not mid… Am I missing something?
If your machine still powers on, go to the Desktop, click on the Apple logo, and choose About This Mac. Look for the model name of the computer - something like MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2012). If your machine isn’t able to power on you can get the model name by grabbing the serial number from the bottom plate of the machine and entering it into this site. Once you know the model name of your computer, finding the battery should be simple. My hunch is that you might be looking at the selection of 13-inch batteries when you have a 15-inch laptop.
