I am looking for a replacement battery for a MacBook Pro, 15“ Touchbar 2018 A1990 (EMC 3215) 2.9GHz. iFixit has a how-to guide on their platform but do not offer the battery, which is kind of weird. Can you help me locate it or tell me when it will becoming available? Thanks, Dirk
Not so weird! iFixit makes the guides when they take the systems apart for the teardown they produce which is done at day the system is made available! Don’t forget the battery has a warranty! Determine battery cycle count for Mac notebooks so the need is not there yet! To add to this, the availability of the battery may not be possible as new! Which is also the case here as well. Maybe you should visit an Apple Store to get it replaced under warranty. The best we can get right now is used from parted out systems. Here’s one source 2018 15” MacBook Pro Battery - Used
