Dear iFixit, After self replacing 3rd set of new battery for 5s, I noticed the battery percentage won’t increase despite showing charging. I read similar problems and solutions, tried warming battery by hair dryer and charged to 100% once, but on next charging attempt same issue raised. I read about missing F11 component, so opened the logic board and found it on place, but I doubt another component next to it to be missing. Please have a look on the picture and give your opinions. I live in Nepal, where micro-soldering in unavailable. Please suggest me what should I do; should I replace a new battery, or replace a logic board set with fingerprint sensor or should buy a new phone?

The missing capacitor is right on the battery main power line, but I’m not sure it should completely prevent battery charging. I’m confident @refectio @rany @benjamen50 will be able to put a word of enlightment about it. However if the missing capacitor isn’t the only cause, next in the list would be a tristar failure which requires even better abilities for troubleshooting. I wouldn’t bother trying another battery purchase in any case.

C275 which is the missing capacitor is used on the PP_BAT_VCC line which is used for charging up the battery.
