I replaced my battery with an iFixit battery in Dec 2021. Worked reliably for many months. Now, after updating MacOS to Monterey, battery is not recognized at all. Thus, the battery doesn’t charge and I can only operate the computer with it plugged in. If I accidentally dislodge the MagSafe connector the machine just shuts off. I have tried resetting SMC. No joy. CoconutBattery can’t see the battery either.
