Let me prefaces this by saying that I have never spilled any liquids of any kind on my computer, so I am confident that this is not a water damage issue. My MacBook Pro has to be plugged into the adapter in order for it to turn on. If it is unplugged, it immediately shuts off. When I plug my charger in, it shows an orange light. The battery icon shows a “lightning bolt” (initially wrote “power plug” by accident) symbol. Since I have never spilt any liquid on this machine, I assume that the battery is the issue here and that’s likely the only thing I need to replace. Does this sound accurate?
