I had repaired the charging port on my iPhone 6 after it had been damaged along with the screen. Everything worked perfectly for about 2 months, but then randomly stopped charging the battery even when it said it was charging. Is this a battery issue? The battery had been dying very quickly for awhile now.
Unfortunately trying to replace battery, after you replaced the lightning port, is the only attempt left on a DIY basis to see if the issue gets solved, but from your description there might also be a good chance there’s a logic board problem. Besides the bad hit, have you used uncertified chargers/cables to charge your iphone ?
