Hi all, my battery indicator is stuck. I have tried all the tricks I could find online such as: hard reset, reset all setting and iOS update but still no luck. Despite being low, battery lasts more then a day which suggests it’s fully charged. It’s been replaced 6 months ago. Also, battery health check shows 100% so I’m really confused. I dont want buy a new battery and still have the issue. Anyone with similar problem? Thanks
Such battery percentage issues are often due to a faulty logic board IC that handles communication between accessories, charging circuit and power management. It’s usually caused by aftermarket cables and chargers and needs microsoldering skills and tools to be replaced. You can still try a full DFU restore after backing up your data not to let anything untried.
I once serviced a smartphone with a similar issue. Removing the battery and placing it in front of a fan for 30 minutes before reinserting it fixed the problem. Also, is the battery you are using one that the manufacturer recommends (specifically a lithium-ion battery made by Apple)? Non-proprietary hardware may cause “glitches” like the one you are describing.
