In the battery settings if iphone says that your peak battery performance is 66% or anything below 99%, can we solve this issue by changing the battery to a new one? Will the peak performance increase or is there some other hardware or software problem that’s draining the battery and how to fix it? Apple technician cannot determine the real root cause but just says that its hardware problem and cannot be repaired. I just wanted to know what hardware is causing the problem. I tried replacing the battery but still drains though there is a little more back up power then it was before. And just to do away with my phone seems hard as iphone aint cheap. What can we do to fix the battery issue of iphone?
Thanks for the response. I reset the phone to a clean slate, started like new and drained the replaced battery then charged it to 100%. Now the back up is good, the battery health supports peak performance though the replaced batt still shows 86% as the strong point. I am happy that the back up has retained power much longer. I don’t think it’s the calibration of the batt but rather the software wasn’t synced properly with the new batt in the casing at the first place.
An issue showing up with 2 different good batteries leads to think about a charging circuit problem or another hidden problem with the logic board. Unfortunately troubleshooting components of an iPhone is a fairly complex and time consuming job and you’ll likely need the help of a reputable lab specialized in microsoldering.
