I recently bought a new battery to replace my old one. But now it will only work if the cable is in, and the battery has a “replace now” icon still. Should I just try to return the battery I bought?
I’d try resetting the SMC first to make sure it is seeing the new battery correctly. Reboot, hold down the P & R key and the Command & Option key and let it tone three times.
