I charge my phone, like always to 100%. Next thing I know after 2 hours my phone is at 1% with flash light on, for like an half an hour. I have no idea wtf is going on. Like I can watch one of “The Flash” episoed at 1% with flashlight on + with background music on. Like right now I’m typing this at 1% battery life with my flashlight on…..

Has this phone ever been opened or previously repaired? It kinda sounds like the gas gauge line is damaged. That would mean that the CPU is getting incorrect data from the battery regarding it’s charge state.

I dont think it is completely necessary to completely discharge the battery. However it does sound like a bad battery. Or it could also be contributed to the recent iphone update from apple. I would replace the battery. iPhone 6s Plus Battery

I had the same thing happen to me i was listening to music and it drained my battery but when it got to 1% it stayed for over an hour

If nothing else works. Open up your iphone. Disconnect the battery and then hold the power button and home button for 12 sec. Reconnect the battery and you’ll find you iphone working fine again. With me the problem reoccurs now and then but at least its fixable.

for most cases : Just disconnect and reconnect the battery and it should work.

What do you mean by disconnect and reconnect the battery. iphone batteries cannot be opened because iphone case cannot be opened. Are you nuts

Sometimes iPhones/iPads just do that. iDevices (outside of iPods) will not allow the charge meter to go up so it’s likely the actual battery charge is/was above what it actually was (I have an iPhone 6s that has the same thing, every now and then the reported battery level tanks and the charge gauge goes to like 16% or something but the battery was actually at like 70%)

I have iphone X, same thing happened after i left it to charge overnight woke up to this problem I used it without charge on 0% battery. It shuts down after a few minutes, did this a couple of times and its back on 100. I also disabled “optimized battery charging” which i think may have fixed it.

Edit: it happened again after 30 minutes ;(
