Hello so i got an iphone that is not turning on , i checked for the battery voltage with a multi-meter and it was 2.6 , tried to turn the iphone on with power supply and it works fine , so the problem was in the battery so i plug the power supply of 12 volt to the battery to recharge the battery , i was able to raise the battery voltage to 3.7 i tried to turn on the iphone with the recharged battery , it works but the phone lose power quickly , in one hour the phone will turn off tried to charge it fully many times for a week , but still the same problem i know changing the battery is the solution , but can you please explain to me why its not working when i charged the battery and rais the voltage to 3.7 ?
You probably killed the battery either by powering it with 12v WHICH YOU SHOULD NEVER EVER DO, or the 2.6 volt was a sign that your battery is done. Here is the replacement part. Its only 15 bucks and its a good quality part. iPhone 6 Battery
