Chosen Solution
I stripped the thread from one of the screws of the bracket, is there a simple way to get it out? Update (09/29/2015) Thats the screw:

This just happened to me yesterday. Except, the whole bracket just came out, when I was pulling the plate up. It was already broken off the logic board. I don’t wanna say pry it off. Cause you could really mess things up. You could twist it, or bend it and twist it. So you can get at the connectors. Be careful though. The blue screen of death is creeping
Deattach the front panel, try to move this metal cover aside few circles and try to pry it off. Watch for the other components.
