Take a look at Step 9 of this guide to see where the screws go for the battery connector plate. Always insure that a connector is properly seated before putting the retention bracket back on. These connectors are quite delicate but if they’re properly lined up prior to connections, you should hear and feel a subtle yet satisfying snap. Did you disconnect the battery first prior to disconnecting the screen assembly? Failing to do so can cause the backlight circuit to fail.
