Chosen Solution
I have a Vita PCH-2001 that I bought off eBay for parts and repair and I’m trying to figure out what the issue might be. The orange light turns on when charging and turns off when the battery is fully charged, however when attempting to turn on the system I am greeted by the brief flash of a green light and nothing else. I am unable to get into safe mode, or make anything display on screen. I verified that the battery is alright by checking its voltage manually, and it sits at 4.18-4.2 volts. Thus far, my only troubleshooting has been checking for water damage (none that I could find), and re-seating all the ribbon cables inside, which resulted in no change to the symptoms. It should be noted that this obviously included disconnecting the battery, which was what I originally tried thinking the issue may have been related to the previous firmware issue with Vitas. Visually, I am unable to find anything wrong aside from some cosmetic scratches. Does anyone have any idea what the issue might be?
I was able to recover it by complete accident by bridging some capacitors in the marked area while the battery was connected. I cannot say whether this will be a solution for everyone, and to me seems extremely dangerous but it worked for me by some divine miracle.
