when i replace batteries, i always use adhesive, and the same stretchy type that Apple uses. my question is, is it necessary to use the the same amount of strips? 2 for normal sized batteries and 3 for plus size batteries? are there any downsides to using one less (1 for normal, 2 for plus)? i don’t want to get into a debate about costs or just because. i want to know if there’s any reason why (or how) using less than what Apple users could be bad. There is probably not much of a difference on a plus sized battery since it will still have two points that are attached to the housing, but on a normal sized battery I would replace all the adhesive, as one point of contact dosen’t seem very secure. As a good rule of thumb, put it back the way you found it.
