Here’s the sitch, because there might be more than one way to skin this cat, or recover data from this aluminum carcass. we love cats btw.. SO there’s a solid chance this device has a small piece of valuable data. Now, the icloud associated with this device… Its far, far away. Stolen by android Sith to powerful for Lord Jobs himself. It got hacked.. I’m Sorry, the point is I only need to use itunes or a data recovery utility to recover notes files, or messages. I don’t want or need the phone fixed. Should i take it to a local shop first to test logic board connections? Why cant iPhone ssd/hdd connect to some usb adapter and just give me my codes! I just want my recovery phrase for my btc wallet. Any ideas?
The phone needs to boot to retrieve your data and if it has a passcode the touch will need to be working as well. You shouldn’t need iCloud details unless it needs to be restored which in any case would remove all data in the process. If you have the passcode I would send it to a reputable repairer for data recovery.
