Hi, I was repairing a water damaged iphone 6 when i removed the short on PP_VCC_MAIN, i restored it because of the passcode on it. After restoring i noticed that i couldn’t activate the phone, so i discovered a short on VREG_SMPS1_0v90 and when i removed the baseband cpu, the short was gone. How can i repair it or bypass activation ? thanks
There is not much you can do if the short is in the baseband IC itself. What you can try is to inject voltage into that line or pad on the IC. This sometimes burns the short out, at this stage you have nothing to lose.
