I have a customer with a working iPhone 3GS we are trying to back it up to his iPhone 6 I tried 3Utools backup and iTunes says it is outdated on ios 6. Tried to back it up to iCloud had to download app wouldn’t let us. My next thought is to boot to the lowest Mac OS available and use the default iTunes and back it up. I figure it might back up but I don’t know if it will be able to restore on higher ios iPhone 6 Does anyone know an easier solution?

Only after updating iPhone 3GS to iOS 6.1.6, you can use iCloud or iTunes to transfer content to the new iPhone. Apatr from this, there is no way backup . Btw, it also doesn’t support to sync data with Google account.
I am not sure it supports iPhone 3GS or not. I used to use Coolmuster iOS Assistant to help me transfer data from iPhone to the computer for backup via USB cable connecting. Maybe you can have a try, it’s free to download. Hope it can works. Good luck.
