Ok so I’ve decided to salvage my MacBook Pro it has been broken for about a year. When I hook it up to a screen it is fine and when I shine a light through it you can see it. I have tried resets etc. Any help would be great!

It may be a backlight fuse failure on the logic board. If that’s the case it should be replaced but requires soldering skills and a very good magnifier or microscope. Yet it should be considered that if the fuse has gone, something has caused the failure and needs investigation..lcd connector, something wrong with the screen itself ?
