So I wanted to see if anyone has had the experience of accidentally stabbing the internal battery while it was still plugged into the main board. I was removing the back glass (I would like to add that i was successful) It didn’t explode but i got a poof of smoke when it happened. What are the chances that it fried the main board? I am waiting on a battery to arrive at my house today to check it, but I wanted to see what you guys had to say.

Hi Chase, Been there, done that. The battery has a protection circuit integrated into the bottom to prevent logic board damage when any type of battery damage occurs. Your replacement battery should work just fine, as long as it isn’t defective.
