Solved Back Camera And Led Flash Not Working Wifi Is Extremely Weak Iphone 5S

When I open the camera app, front camera works fine but when I switch to the back camera the display goes black. In the top left corner it shows the following message, “Flash is Disabled - The iPhone needs to cool down before you can use the flash.” But the phones temperature feels normal. Also the Wifi signal is very weak and it doesn’t pick up all the networks around me. I need to sit right next to the router in order to pick up Wifi and connect, but even then, the signal is still very slow. I bought another 5s (with a working camera) for parts and I put the new camera and LED into my phone, but its still showing the same messages. And I also put in a new Power/Volume ribbon cable in order to fix the Wifi. I had a problem with my power button but it was fixed after that swap, but the Wifi, back Camera and LED problems still persist. At this point I’m starting to think that the problem is in the logic-board but I’m not 100% sure. Please let me know the easiest possible fix for this, whether its replacing the logic-board or replacing the components on the logic board. Thank you in advance for your answers!

I am Brazilian, excuse the horrible English but was the solution I found for my problem. I believe that this error and given the excessive use of “Low Power Mode”

go to Settings > Reset > Reset All Content and Settings
after reset go to Settings > Battery > Low Power Mode ( Turn on/turn off 3x)
Click on button Power + Home until Apple Logo
go to Settings > Battery > Low Power Mode ( Turn on/turn off 3x)
Swipe up in Control Center > Activate Flash
go to the Camera

I fixed the wifi problem, the phone was dropped hard enough where it damaged the wifi cable. After removing the upper component cable, underneath it I noticed half of the wifi cable was somehow missing. I then removed it and replaced it with a new one. But still not sure about the back camera/flash problem.

same problem 5.2.1, except wifi fine. sometimes LED works, sometimes not. power off and power on sometimes let camera work once, then back to problem. quite obviously nothing to do with hear, as message says.

I had this issue on a 5s. My phone definitely wasn’t overheating, despite the message. I tried restoring to factory settings. no change. I tried switching out with a new camera/microphone unit. no change. But, putting a new battery in solved the “overheating” issue immediately. Flash and flightlight are both working now!

same problem with 9.3.5 Back cam not working. Flash too..

So as I was used to open iphone many times while repairing screen etc according to ifixit - I opened it and cable from rear camera was loosened a bit and that was it ! try it.. it works fine again.. even if I made downgrade to 9.3.5 haha I might keep it from 10.0.2, which is crap, but cannot put the backup back in :/ because it was created in newer version of ios :/ Good luck guys.

I have been having this same issue for over a month ago and even after surfing online for the solution and trying them(changing battery, hard reset including all the solutions here) nothing worked. reheat wifi ic 300 degree @ 10-15 seconds and so me flux to reflow. if no luck then replace/reball wifi chip camera flash is a diffrent problem..

My cable was opened and check rear camera lossened cable flex, but it was solid. I did try on/off low power mode, no luck Trying restore, reset all cetting, reset all content and setting, still no luck. My rear camera still in black mode and flash dis not turn on.. Need help here please

I have been wrestling with this problem on iPhone 4S for more than a week. “Flash is Disabled - The iPhone needs to cool down before you can use the flash.” I had transferred the motherboard from one phone to another and still had the fault so presumed it was a fault on the board. Today I realised I had mixed up the front & rear cameras and had transferred the rear camera as well as the board. Tried the rear camera out of another iPhone and bingo - problem solved. All that time & research and it was only a 2 minute job to fix it!!

I got 5s…the said message regarding iphone to cool down before using flash appeared today on my phone…..this is what i did to solve the problem….Just went to settings….and Did RESET ALL SETTINGS ….that done…every thing working fine now…
