voice messages aren’t working, voice memo isn’t working, can’t record videos, can’t use Siri, can’t hear phone calls and can’t be heard during them either no matter if they’re outgoing or incoming. The speaker button, voice memo and record buttons are all still there, they aren’t grayed out. When I try to record a video theres a delayed button press sound, the timer doesn’t show I’m recording, and it stops recording on its own a few seconds after I press record, with no video added to my recents. As I said, holding home for Siri meets me with an unmoving voice detection line that isn’t picking up my voice. I have cleaned my speakers, pressed the top of my phone where the front facing camera and speaker are, tried every physical thing possible. This all started yesterday very suddenly. I don’t remember doing anything abnormal to trigger this. Didn’t download any new apps, just used my phone very much the same way I do every day. Also didn’t drop my phone yesterday.
Important to note that when restarting my phone all these functions are returned back to normal but all stop working again after a few minutes. Please help.
All the symptoms that your phone is showing points to the signature Audio IC fault on the 7 series. This fault is from the phone flexing causing a trace to become detached from the pad under the audio IC. You will need to have it repaired by a reputable repairer; it is not something you can permanently fix yourself unless you have the right equipment and experience in microsoldering.
