When removing an audio integrated circut do you need to pay attention how it came out so it can be re-installed the same or can you spin it around like the wheel of fortune then re-install? Thanks in advance obviously I am a newbie.
You need to install them with A1 on the chip which is usually marked with a dot to the A1 pad on the logic board. If you put the chip in another orientation you will have voltages going to where they shouldn’t, essentially causing other chips to fail and if a high voltage ends up going to the CPU its game over.
