HI there, I purchased a new Audio Control cable and the Power button is the WRONG way round on the cable (the button press would sit facing the inside of the phone so the button can not physically press the switch) - have a look in your parts listing and you will see what i mean. HOW do i fix this? or is the part faulty/design error? I looked at a few more online and they are all the same - I CANT be the only one? - it was only $3 so no big loss plus I found out it wasn’t the cable-a Pad off the back of the vol up button had come off and got lost somewhere so ordering more pads. Still not resolved this issue though….Thnx for replying Regards, Mark
I have found the solution for this - the Power button part of the Ribbon cable with the Switch on it FOLDS over itself which is why it looks different to the original Apple cable.
Ask i fixit to replace it if you got it from there Sounds like its faulty
