My Galaxy SII i777 shuts off when plugged in and will not charge, but when I flashed a custom kernel it works perfectly. Many say that the battery is the fault and does not have the correct data lines, I purchased a battery here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BGM… and it says its compatible with i777 and has NFC. It did the same thing with the original battery, so thats why I got the new one.
Turns out I got a bad battery, and it indeed did not have nfc or the right control board. I will try getting a real one and see if that helps.
