Chosen Solution
I opened my Asus X200CA laptop for cleaning, and I did not pay attention to the screw lengths. I ended up with two longer screws and the rest were shorter. Does anybody know where the two long screws go for this? I suspect they are used to fasten the CPU fan. Also, I am only referring to the motherboard internal screws, and not screws that hold the keyboard and case together.
Hi @erik343 , Here’s a video that may help. At 6:47 minutes into the video the two screws that hold the fan can be seen on the bench. At 7:15 minutes into the video the motherboard screws can be seen on the bench in the lower left corner. The two fan screws appear to be longer than the motherboard screws.
