My bottom microphone next to the USB connection has stopped working. I read “oldturkey03” response to a question involving a microphone problem where he added a photo pointing out the locations and numbers associated with each, so am I to assume that these microphones are different?
Whenever I look up the microphone, on Ebay for instance, it doesn’t specify whether it is for the top or the bottom of the phone, and doesn’t include a number signifying which microphone it is. My phone is actually a gt-i9300 and the main pcb board looks the same as the S3, so does anyone know if the microphones interchange? FYI, if you purchase a UK manufactured Samsung out of country they will not honor the awesome 2 year warrantee. The only reason I bought the international model was because it was more powerful and assumedly had a useable 2 year warrantee. Thanks you!
bassmasterbee, BLM15AG121SN1D is the description for both microphones. The sec code for Samsung is 3003-001136. Both Mics are identical. Remember that Samsung description numbers are different. A search by the “BLM15AG121SN1D” will not find the mics but the sec code does.:-) Hope this helps, good luck.
