When removing the LCD panel we remove two sets of inverter cables that each look identical. To be safe, I always mark one of the pair, so I know I’m putting back the same cable with the correct connector. Is this totally unnecessary? Are they interchangeable? They don’t appear to be keyed to only work with the correct one, so maybe either is correct?
I usually mark those with a sharpie but sometimes forget. I’ve never had it not work, so I would say it doesn’t seem to matter. Surely I have reversed them at some point. But I believe there is a black dot on them that goes on the upside where the clip goes.
