I’m building a windows 2000 computer and the Intel D850MV motherboard requires all four RDRAM slots to be used even if by a crimm. I need two of them, and I see multiple available on eBay, but of course nothing specific for this motherboard. Does anyone know if they’re universally compatible as long as they have 184 pins? One of the listings includes clock rate and voltage, do these matter?

The RDRAM CRIMM modules may actually need to come from the same manufacturer of the RDRAM. It’s been so long since I heard that curse word I had to check to see what the exact answer is 😂. It may not actually matter for the CRIMM modules as they’re slot fillers, but they should match. However, they’re really just there to fill the slots so if you use a generic CRIMM module and a Dell CRIMM it shouldn’t matter but you should match them like to like when possible as some have different ohms ratings (Dell CRIMMs are usually 28). See more on this stuff here: RDRAM If you can do so please try and find a board that uses s478 and DDR RAM. RDRAM is a pain to find in matched sets (which is REQUIRED, you can’t mix and match it), was universally hated due to cost so much so Intel had to subsidize it in a retail setting to get people to try and like it, and it costs way too much to get matched sets; you often need to buy the same module from multiple sellers. The switch to DDR on s478 was a silent acknowledgement. Even the original s478 processors were similarly suspiciously close to the s423 RDRAM ones.
