So, some days ago i changed the thermal paste of my cpu and gpu (Intel core I5-6300hq and GTX 950M respectively) and now my gpu is aidling at 39 C° and my cpu at 43-45 C°. I want to know if my idle temps are ok. thank you!!
Those idle temps are fine - it’s only an issue for CPUs when you start hitting 70-80c when you aren’t running the CPU at near 100% load. For the GPU, start worrying at 60-70c - again, not an issue unless it gets there with little to no load. The factory paste usually fails within 4-5 years (usually less, especially if it’s caked on), so you did yourself a favor by getting rid of it. No need to remove it when it’s new, but it’s terrible paste that has to be removed at some point if you’re in it for the long run.
