OK so I’m sure most people have it they strip down phones and get collections of old screws … Well I know the screws in a device are all different lengths 1.2 1.4 etc .. And in newer devices different heads tri instead of Philips etc. But are the size screws all the same between devices so could I have a tub of just Apple 1.3mm Philips then another 1.4 tri… or are they unique to device ? So I’d have to have iPhone 6 1.4mm iPhone 7 1.3mm
iPhone screws are a total nightmare :>). Not only do you have to worry about screw length, but some screws have different thread pitch, head diameter, and shank diameter. I would not assume all 1.4mm screws from various devices are all the same. If you really want to organise them (small plastic pill bottles are a good way), then you’ll need to inspect them under magnification to insure they are the same.
