Hi all, I have a 60gb 5th gen iPod – the “thick” ipod video. I want to upgrade the HD to an ssd drive, and, in doing so, I want to make it “thin”, since the new HD will be much thinner. To do this, I also need to replace the battery and the headphone jack/hold switch, since they are designed for the thick body. My plan is to use the components designed for the 30gb 5th gen ipod video, since these are designed for a thin body. My question is: Are these components compatible with the 60gb ipod logic board? @ramorel yes that will work for what you have planned. They are interchangeable for the way you are going to set it up.
