Chosen Solution
So I didn’t drop it or anything, but for some reason my iphone just won’t go to the lock screen. I turn it on and it is dark for a couple seconds, then it brightens up to where you see the apple and just stays there and doesn’t change other than sometimes it’s just a bright screen with no apple I tried the hard reset or whatever but it didn’t help.
Since it is stuck at this point, you can try to restore it: Turn off iPhone; Connect to a computer; Start iTunes on the computer; Press and hold power button + home button together for 12 seconds then release power button but keep pressing home button for another 15 seconds; At this point, you should see a prompt on iTunes saying that it detected an iPhone in restore mode; You will be asked to download and restore the latest software, accept and leave the iPhone connected and undisturbed until download and restore are complete (it can take a while, the firmware is about 1.8GB). Note that all your data and Apps will be deleted. Try this and let me know if it solves your issue.
