Hello, gurus Can you, please, help me sort out problems with my iPhone 8’s Apple pay. The problem is - it doesn’t work. What should I check at the very first? Where is nfc module located? I tried to search, but different things - from the wireless charging anthenna up to camera area. Can someone, please, explain?
The NFC logic is part of the secure enclave within the iPhone’s logic board. I would bring the phone into an Apple Store or authorized service center as you’ll need a new logic board.
The purple marked chip is the NXP 80V18 secure NFC module. The chrome screw marked here connects the signal bus bar to the antenna within the case.
Hi i have a also problem with Apple Pay. After board swap i cannot add card to apple pay. It throws error that card cannot be added try again later or contact issuer. My question is can it be related to board screw to antenna somehow? or it’s faulty chip?
