Ok so, itried fixing a water damaged iphone 5s today and did the whole alcohol thing. so i put the motherboard in and tried turning it on… nothing. so i plug it in then i get an apple logo for about half a second then it switches to a black backlit screen and stays there. maybe i didnt remove all the corosion and need to clean it more? by the way i did plug it and itunes recognizes it and i restore it… i get an error code 3194. right now i am stuck and have no clue what to do because i spent a lot of money for the parts. I know the parts are 100% working because i tested them on a different motherboard.
Does the iPhone serial number and model number appear in itunes when it’s in recovery mode? If not then there is a hardware issue on the phone. Otherwise error code 3194, which can be fixed by updating your iTunes. If that doesn’t work then try another iPhone 5 USB cable and other usb port.
when was showing apple logo and turning of was it into a loop? this sound like a issue with the battery. if u take out the battery and plug it in does it do the same? is so replace battery should be the issue
hello if the display you’ve tried it another motherboard and is it then tries again to wipe the motherboard, often I had to wash several times motherboards to remove all the residue of the liquid, if you have not already done so, cuts cover plates around the cpu and gpu following the holes on the sides, always very carefully. from those holes often enters the liquid and if you remove the protection you can not solve. I use contact sprays or washes ultrasuoni.in ultimately double check with a microscope or a very powerful lens the contacts and if you do not remove oxidation also is using a delicate brush brush, it is possible that some welding is to be redone. good luck
